Car and Truck Detailing Q&A with DetailXPerts

DetailXPerts is the world’s first steam automotive franchise. Consumers often ask all over the world about car and truck detailing. To make things easier for you, we’ve decided to create this Q&A section. If you have any question about this topic, please feel free to ask us by writing on the comments box below. We’ll do our best to answer your queries as fast and as efficiently as possible.

Q. Why should I have my vehicle detailed by DetailXPerts?

Maintenance, protection, and longevity are the top reasons why you should have your vehicle detailed by us. Our unique steam cleaning methodology removes the toughest dust, dirt and grime. This way you get nothing but smooth, beautiful, germ-free and residue-free surfaces. Moreover, that won’t affect your health, damage your vehicle or the environment.

We’re quite tough with vehicle interiors, too. Our powerful steam cleaners do not only remove mold and mildew; they can kill health-threatening bacteria like E coli and Staphylococcus. That’s why vehicles cleaned by DetailXPerts stay clean, safe and fresh longer.

Q. How often should I have my vehicle detailed?

It actually depends on three things: location, frequency and purpose. Generally, we suggest car and truck detailing every month. However, if you live in an area where your vehicle gets a lot of exposure  from nature’s elements – sunshine, saltwater, sand or dust, then twice a month detailing is necessary to protect your beloved possession from the damages that nature can bring.

If you have a food truck or a passenger vehicle, detailing should be done weekly. A sparklingly clean vehicle attracts more customers and decreases your chances of being inspected by DOT officials.

Q. Is steam safe for car and truck detailing?

Steam is not only safe for car and truck detailing – it’s proven effective too – as long as it is used correctly. We’ve trained our detailers on proper handling and usage of our steam cleaning machines so you can be assured that your vehicles are detailed to perfection without damaging their paint.

Q. Can you do car and truck washing in my home or office?

We’re mobile, so yes, we can! Just schedule an appointment with us and we’ll take care of the rest.

Q. Can you remove bird droppings, tree sap stains or hard water spots?

Our steam cleaning machines are powerful enough to remove these contaminants. Couple this with the skills and carefulness of our detailers and you’ll have a sparklingly clean, spotless vehicle that’s free of paint damage.

Q. Should I go for car and truck detailing even if it’s winter?

Definitely! We all know that salt and sand are used to thaw road ice and snow. These two substances alone can wreak havoc with your car’s paint and undercarriage. That’s why we recommend full car and truck detailing before winter strikes to give your vehicle the extra protection it needs during this time. We also suggest regular washing to prevent the accumulation of salt, sand and snow from your vehicle’s exterior.

Q. How long does it take to detail a car or truck?

It depends. Factors that can effect how long it takes to detail a car or truck include type of vehicle, condition of the vehicle and experience of the detail technician to name a few. In general, it takes 1 hour to detail car using 100% steam methods and 1 hour and half to detail semi-truck.

Q. Do you bring your own water?

We use steam! We are self-contained and portable; we do not need a water hookup. When providing “catch’up work” on semi-trucks we may use the clients water source.

Q. Do you have a cancellation policy? If so, what is it?

Yes. DetailXPerts requires at least 24 hours notice for any cancellation of service.  Cancellations less than 24 hours notice will result in full payment for scheduled services.

Q. Do you guarantee your services?

Our guarantee is 100% satisfaction, or we make it right.

Q. Do you approve of tipping? If so, how much?

Each franchise owner determines their rules related to tipping. In general, tipping is allowed at 15-20% of rack rate for scheduled service.
